Stoner strength on home soil underlined with Phillip Island pole
The Ducati Team rider secured pole position for his home race ? the Iveco Australian Grand Prix ? with a solid qualifying display which placed him ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies, who will also start from the front row. Valentino Rossi qualified in eighth position.
