Nico Terol continues to be a cut above the rest of the 125cc field at Le Mans, the Bankia Aspar rider putting over half a second on 2nd place rider Efren Vazquez. Terol waited until the final minute to take the lead, though, posting two blistering laps in the dying seconds of the session to demote Vazquez to 2nd. Sandro Cortese also waited until the final moments to jump up into 3rd, ahead of Terol's teammate Hector Faubel. Jonas Folger bagged 5th, while a strong showing from RW Racing's Luis Salom put the Spaniard in 6th.
