Stoner dominates Friday practice at Le Mans

LE MANS – Flywheel Honda, Yamaha on the track historically friend: another confirmation of the superiority of the RC212V. Four Honda in front of everyone in the early morning shift – in the order: Stoner (1’34 “133), Pedrosa (1’34″ 431), Dovizioso (1’34 “808), Simoncelli (1’35″ 029) -, three in the afternoon – Stoner, Pedrosa Simoncelli and – with Casey Stoner author of an excellent 1’33 “782. The first pilot riding a Honda, a little ‘surprise, Nicky Hayden, separated by 870 milliseconds, the first is that Yamaha of Jorge Lorenzo, fifth at 877 milliseconds, while Valentino Rossi is only the ninth in a “184.

STONER AWESOME
On a sunny day, the real ruler was Stoner, who in the afternoon session showcased an impressive rate. Casey got his best time on the 13th of 20 laps in a fast series: 1’34 “043, 1’33″ 799, 1’33 “782. Then Stoner has found himself in front of Rossi and slowed dramatically. But the last exit was not bad: 1’34 “201, 1’34″ 073, 1’34 “168, 1’33″ 967! In short, the kangaroo is already in place, but so are the other Honda, Marco Simoncelli with excellent second and once again very consistent. Mark, like many of his colleagues, was the author of a straight in the afternoon session, but the improvement over nine tenths of the morning confirmed that Mark and his team are working well and in the right direction. Dani Pedrosa was among the few who do not improve in the afternoon (for only four cents), but it was still constantly at the top, but after a good beginning is more difficult in Andrea Dovizioso (even for him straight), which only Final managed to climb up to sixth.

MORE HAYDEN ‘FAST RED
Taking advantage of the “pull” of Dovizioso, Hayden was able to gain a quarter-time, turning three tenths faster than Valentino Rossi. In Ducati was a long waiting list to check the validity of the new chassis, which debuted officially in the test after the race in Portugal for the time being, the fastest time he says we are more or less the same level of the previous cycle and pictures television showed large movements, both during acceleration and braking, the GP11.

YAMAHA BACK
But if the difficulties of the Ducati are still in line with the start of the season, those are Yamaha unexpected, on a track that has always been a friend of the M1. Jorge Lorenzo, who won here two years running, finished fifth, and gotten almost nine tenths (0 “877): too many on a track where the engine should have less of the chassis. Lorenzo, however, always tries to put a piece, which is unable to his teammate, for the time being only the tenth.
