Updated Trends: Yamaha Moto GP Rider Valentino Rossi Undergoes Shoulder Surgery
A huge blow to the Fiat Yamaha Moto GP team as their most important rider, Valentino Rossi has undergone a shoulder surgery, due to an injury which he had sustained in the 2010 season. He got the injury in the month of April this year in a motocross accident, and after which his whole racing season was a trouble to him as the internal injury was hampering his performance considerably.
He underwent an operation over his supraspinatus tendon and glenoid ligament, in his own country. After the operation, his surgeons Dr Alex Castagna and Dr Giuseppe Porcellini stated that “The condition of the shoulder was really critical: Valentino really had to be tough to keep racing with that kind of injury.”
He would at least need some 90 days of rehabilitation, so that he could get on the track in a proper manner. By the end of this year, his contract with Yamaha would be officially over and as a reason for this he would start testing the Ducati bike which he will be racing in 2011. For now we wish his the best for his recovery.
